More random blogs to come. It was fun but time consuming. Defiantly hard to pick just one picture off of the CD. It took me back to many memories. Wow how much my sweet girls have grown. Amazing yet sad :( By the way I made it through 6 Cd's and have 16 to go....this might take awhile!

Higgins New Years Bash

Wednesday morning I was woken up by Britlyn telling me that Daddy wanted to show something to me on the computer....it all started with Britlyn waking up listening to her radio talking about the "beach ball drop" in Panama City. She tells Chris all about it and together they decide it is a good idea....Chris shows me the website with puppy dog eyes and asks if we can head to the beach. Then the fun starts!
We get to Panama City Beach and the girl immediatly beg to eat at Pineapple Willy's(their fav hot spot). They buy t-shirts with their Christmas money and we eat. Then we head to the hotel to take naps so we can stay out late. After naps we head to Pier Park to enjoy the fun. They have a band playing, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, and free kids meals at Margaritaville. They have a lite up beach ball hoisted in the air by a crane. We missed to "drop" which thoroughly upset the girls plus Chris. Kylea said that her burger at Margaritaville was the best ever and the mashed potatoes were good too but mine were better :) It was getting really cold out so we decided to head to Target to buy goodies to finish the New Years celebration at the hotel. Jadeyn was the only one who didn't take a nap that day so she feel asleep in the car. We finished watching the New Years Bash on TV and watched the ball drop. Kylea was very disappointed that they only showed the ball for 3 seconds twice. And then refused to go to bed. Britlyn claimed she wasn't tired so we stayed up until midnight.
Today we went to the beach and built plenty of sandcastles and walked around. It was very chilly, but that did not stop Brit and Kylea from putting their feet in the water.
I hope that I am able to rest and get the house back into order before school starts. This has been a busy but fun Christmas Break.
By the way...Chris did not have to drug me up or bring me back kicking and screaming. I was to sick to throw a fit. He is still upset that he had to drive the whole way home.

Busy Day!

Today was by far the busiest day that we have had in Texas so far. Our family plus my Mom and Dad loaded up and went to the Gaylord. We walked around and took many pics and looked at all of the Christmas decorations and took more pics. We were disappointed the Santa, Mrs. Clause, and the reindeer were not going to be there until 4pm. I mean come on Santa what else do you have to do all day besides talk to kids and take photos??? :)
Then we went to the Bass Pro Shop where Thomas and Dante meet us and took more pics. We got lucky and they were taking free pics with Santa! Chris decided that we all needed to be in it. So the girls and Dante, Thomas, Chris and I were all posing with Santa. It was amazingly the best pic I have ever witnessed with Santa ( I will post when I have it scanned).
Then we went to eat and Fuddruckers. Man have we missed a good burger since we have been gone and the cheesy fries, I am so full still. Then off to the mall, thanks to Dante for the build a bear gift card!
At Build a bear Britlyn picked out a Koala bear named Lizzy. Kylea picked the moose named Moosy, Jadeyn got a barking dog named Zeep and Dante got a dog named Oscar. Then we walked around the mall until the kids were ready to drop. That place was packed. Nothing like having to count heads every 5 seconds! After the mall we headed back to my Mom's, rested for 1 hour and then Chris and I took Makayla to the movies to see Yes Man.
Yes Man was a very funny movie with only one scene that was embarrassing to watch with Makayla. Then we walked around the mall again looking for me some boots for my Christmas present. I am beat but I am loving every minute that we get to spend with Makayla and the rest of our family! I will have to be drugged up if Chris is going to take me back to Alabama or maybe I will go kicking and screaming! Good Luck to him. Pic will be posted soon. Must go to bed now.

Drive to Texas

Friday when the girls got out of school we loaded up the van, the girls changed into their PJ's and waited for Daddy to get home. Here is how the trip went...
5:40 pm- grabbed McDonald's to eat.
6:00 pm- Jadeyn is asleep
8:20 pm- Kylea is having a mental melt down because her seat belt is getting to tight. She won't let Britlyn help her and Daddy can't get to her.
8:30 pm- We pull over and make numerous threats to Kylea to stop screaming at the top of her lungs so we can drive and her sisters can sleep.
10:30 pm- Chris wakes me up and say that it smells like throw up or poop pants. I tell him that the girls are fine, they are big girls and did not poop in their pants and it was outside.
10:35 pm- Chris says to check to girls the smell did not go away. Discovery-Jadeyn had diarrhea.
10:40 pm- Pulled over in the Walmart parking lot and cleaned up Jadeyn and threw her panties away. Took about 15 wipies and new pants...so gross!
12 am- stop for gas, girls wake up. Girls fuss, fight and take an hour to fall back to sleep.
3:00 am- We finally made it to the Texas border and pull over in the rest stop. The girls wake up. They find out we are in Texas and take another hour to go back to sleep.
5:30 am- We are about 5 minutes from Memaw's house and they are all wide awake and not going back to sleep.
5:35 am- We made it! Chris and I are both exhausted from me driving 5 hours and him driving 7.
What a trip...I am not looking forward to doing it all over again in 7 days.

Before Christmas and all through the house

I feel like I have not blogged about the going ons at my house for a while. So here is an update....

The girls are still enjoying school. Kylea has been busy at school making all kinds of Christmas crafts. She has made a present, Christmas tree, Rudolph, reindeer, Christmas chain, gingerbread man and I am sure other things that I can not think of. Luckily her teacher likes me and invited me to come up there and help any time. Jadeyn really enjoys going up there so we go a few times a week. Kylea's teacher always has a craft for Jadeyn to do which is awesome! Britlyn is excelling in her class. She is making 99's and 100's in all subjects. She has brought 100's home on her tests for 3 straight weeks! She is such a super star and big leader in her classroom. Jadeyn is, well, a hand full still. She has asked to open a present everyday(since they were wrapped) about 10 times a day. She not only asks she is very clever about it. She was watching Dora the other day and Dora got to open a present. Jadeyn said she got to open a present so that means that we should. Oh that girl keeps me on my toes. Her and her Daddy are two of a kind! She is a major Daddy's girl. Anytime that he is home she is right by his side. If he is gone she is asking where he is at. Chris is now in the simulators in his flight school. He is learning how to use the instruments to fly rather than just by eye. He will have to fly with a cover over his helmet when he is done with the simulators. Sounds like fun right?

We are all very excited to be coming to Texas in about a week. We miss Makayla so much and have so little time to share with her :( The girls count down the days until we come to Texas and the days until Christmas several times a day! They have sent a letter to Santa telling him that we will not be home but at Memaw's house. They have watched several Santa Clause movies this year. It has answered many of their questions that they had about Santa. Like the chimney, the flying, the presents. How many more years will they believe? I still do :)
